Raised in Bendigo Craig attended Bendigo Senior Secondary College where he completed VCE in 1989. He went on to further his education by studying Science, Health and Physical Education with a Diploma of Education from La Trobe University. Through this, he became a teacher and Vice Principal of a private college where he stayed for eight years before being head-hunted to co-found a research and development software company Objectify Services Pty Ltd.

Craig is currently the CEO and has successfully worked on the implementation and acquittal of over $5 million in research and development projects. In this role Craig also coordinated significant IT sponsorship for the Commonwealth Youth Games held in Bendigo, enabling families and supporters around the world to get real time event results.
As an active contributor to the Bendigo community in both a voluntary and professional capacity, Craig has been involved in social planning and community engagement. He was the founding chairman of the Young Professionals Network, a program providing young professionals with the opportunity for involvement within the wider community. Craig was also a founding Director of the Central Victorian IT Cluster, chairman of the Exporters Network and chairman of the Central Victorian Business Network. In this role Craig established the Young Entrepreneurs Program which created 15 new jobs and contributed approximately $3.5million to the local economy.
Also as Central Victorian Business Network chairman, Craig helped facilitate community engagement for major Greening Australia Fundraising events to support the local river systems.
Growing up in the Bendigo region, Craig has become passionate about government policy which nurtures and encourages family values and contributes to all residents enjoying a high standard of living, health, education and social justice. Through his community involvement, he has developed an expertise and great interest in various issues facing the local area such as education, health, infrastructure and the environment.
Craig has always been interested in health and fitness, playing football, cricket and basketball with local sporting clubs throughout high school. Craig is currently a member of the Latrobe University cross-country running club and for a hobby works as a part time fitness instructor on top of his business and community responsibilities.
